Description
There’s nothing more Russian traditional cake than a Ptichye Moloko.
Light and creamy and incredibly tasty.
Made for the first time in 1978 by Vladimir Guralnik, the head patisserie chef at Moscow’s Praga restaurant. He was inspired by the popular milk-flavored, meringue-filled candy to create this cake.
The name is a reference to an old idiom denoting “something so exquisite, delicate and rare it probably doesn’t even exist”.
The spong-cake is made with cacao for extra chocolate taste.

Good cake. But for some of us it was a little bit sweeter than we need. Just take it into account.
